I grew up in a rural area in the country, raised by parents who believed in discipline and hard work. Believe me, their teachings have prepared me to perform well on my own without supervision. As a child, I would act out taking orders from customers and writing tickets as a policeman, and at 10 years of age, I began door-to-door sales selling shoes, garden seeds, and Christmas cards in the spring, fall, and summer.

When I was not selling I tended the half-acre garden, hand-watered the garden and 16 fruit trees, fed and cared for the chickens, ducks, dogs, pigs, rabbits, and beehives. Also chopping and stacking cords of firewood,cutting trees, stump removal, all by hand, yard work and shoveling snow in the winter months, and stacking hay was my first job at age 12, and completing my homework before bedtime.

These experiences taught me responsibility and also pride in my performance and achievements.

In high school, I participated in track and field, basketball, and football under a vocational field of study.

After moving to California in 1973, I joined the US Army in 1977 and was honorably discharged as a Sergeant E5 in 1980. I then spent 6 years of service with the Army Reserves. During 3 of those years, I was employed as a security guard and later promoted as Leutenant with the Pinkertons Security Agency. I also supervised maintenance at Muskegon Housing Commission and Muskegon City Hall around the year of 1985/86, and relocated to Battle Creek, Michigan in 2017.  

Even though I have a college education in business marketing and sales, Applied Electronics at Fort Knox Kentucky in 1986, and Business Machine Service at Control Data Institute in 1975, I began a self-taught Executive Marketing Management journey beginning in 1980 after completing a 6 week Basic Itroduction to the Internet class provided by the Urban League.

I created this Bangs and Hamers blog, where I have posted frequently, and have developed an average following that continues to grow, according to the Google Analytical statistics and visitor user event monitoring platform. This blog is also linked to the Bangs and Hammers website.

Improving my online marketing skills as the owner and founder of the company; Spuncksides Promotion Production LLC, promotional product distributor, the umbrella over all integrated marketing websites and business opportunities, the goal is to develop an affiliate website.

When I started I was just considering earning income for myself, and after realizing providing products and services for others by partnering in collaboratives and with businesses, contractors and 3rd party vendors, and service providers. This would eventually establish a better form of growth and long term relationships building online and offline unlike traditional legacy-fashioned strategies mainly taught in the past. Most businesses are formed for self-image while excluding the needs of the clients and customers.

The blog is also attached to the Bangs and Hammers website as promoted on the Blogspot platform under the same name as the website. Its focus is on beautifying real estate investrment property and formal investment strategies for generational wealth building. Currently, the blog post entries have moved away from beautification and moved into smart homes and retrofitting smart devices for smart homes and smart cities. The focus will soon return to the original intent of beautifying the interior and exterior of real estate property once the legal aspects of the business is finalized.

Moving forward, it is my sincere goal to improve along with the many changes that can develop over time and leave a lasting legacy that can be passed down for many generations to come.

"This Big Listing Mistake More homes for sale are going "stale" after sitting on the market for months, raising concerns that some sellers are overestimating what the market is willing to pay."

Looking at the photo images of many homes on the market today is somewhat telling.

The reason why the market signal is "stale" and isn't going away:

1) Overpriced

2) Rising inflation rates

3) Cost of living increases

Most would be motivated buyers who think that the cost of living allowance (COLA) should be above the inflation rates annually.

After bringing the conversation to the table, both friends and family agreed that they were expecting the COLA to be higher in 2025 than it was in 2024. Consumer's energy to buy has shifted into a savings mode since the stingy cuts by the Federal Reserve, and the COLA decrease due to higher inflation rate increase affect on the economy.

I'm sure it will take 3-5 (2028 - 2030,or 2033) before the buyer's market flatens, and then the shift from investment strategies to spending money on things not necessarily needed will take position again. Even then, there's a chance that purchasing power and stronger consumption rate of those items that have been left in stock, or, on the shelves in the past, due to misrepresented prices, will take first position on most consumers' bucket lists after going without 3-5 years. Our consumption rate will be anticipated on a quarterly and annual yield factor.

Most of the ROI will be utilized on home improvements to increase the value of properties that have been neglected due to increasing inflation rates. Still waiting for the overpriced homes to return to the normal rate instead of increasing, concerns about stale and mold conditions will linger.
